Wallet campaigns run in cycles (the duration you chose at creation). When a cycle ends, the campaign can start a new cycle if auto-renew is enabled and your wallet has enough credits — or auto-recharge can cover the gap from your active payment method.

Auto-renew

Wallet campaigns support an auto-renew toggle in campaign insights (and related campaign management views). You can change auto-renew while the campaign is active and the current cycle end date has not passed yet. The toggle is not available in other states — for example while a campaign is creating, renewing, stopped, ended, or after the cycle end date (including renew failed, where the due date has typically already passed). Wallet campaigns do not use a Stripe subscription for renewal billing — renewals debit your credit wallet directly.

What happens at renewal

  1. Before the cycle ends, Soundlink identifies wallet campaigns due for renewal.
  2. The campaign enters a renewing state while renewal is processed.
  3. Soundlink calculates the next cycle total, including your workspace plan’s Ad fees.
  4. If balance is sufficient, credits are deducted and the campaign continues into the next cycle.
  5. If balance is insufficient and auto-recharge is enabled, Soundlink charges your active payment method, adds credits, then continues the renewal (subject to the monthly cap).
  6. If balance is still insufficient (auto-recharge off, charge failed, or monthly cap exceeded), the campaign moves to renew failed.
The renewal amount is based on:
  • Effective daily budget (including any next-cycle budget set by a campaign top-up)
  • Campaign duration
  • Your workspace plan’s Ad fees
This renewal calculation can be higher than the simple daily budget × duration total shown when you first created the campaign.

Upcoming renewals

On Settings → Credit wallet & payment methods, the Upcoming renewals section lists wallet-funded campaigns scheduled to renew in the next 7 days. You will see:
  • How many renewals fall in that window and the combined renewal cost
  • Each campaign name, renew date, and estimated cost
  • A warning when your current balance will not cover those renewals — including when auto-recharge may charge your saved card for the shortfall
If nothing is renewing soon, the section says so.

Renew failed

Status renew failed means the cycle ended but Soundlink could not debit enough credits (and auto-recharge did not cover the gap). In the app you will see an alert similar to: Renewal failed — insufficient wallet balance, with a link to top up. To recover:
  1. Top up your wallet so balance covers the renewal amount (or fix auto-recharge / payment method issues).
  2. If auto-renew is still on, Soundlink can retry the campaign after your balance increases (including after a successful top-up or auto-recharge).
If auto-renew was turned off before the cycle ended, top-up alone will not restart the campaign — contact support if you need help.

Heads-up emails

Low balance (next 3 days)

If you have wallet campaigns renewing within the next 3 days and your balance is below what those renewals need, Soundlink may email the workspace primary user a low-balance reminder.
  • At most one such email per workspace within a 24-hour window.
  • The email lists affected campaigns and how much balance is needed.
  • If auto-recharge is on with a valid active card, the email can note that Soundlink may charge your card for the shortfall.

Auto-recharge reminder (~24 hours before renewal)

When auto-recharge is enabled and a wallet campaign renews within about 24 hours, Soundlink may email the primary user that the active card may be charged if balance is still short. Use these as early warning to top up, adjust auto-recharge, or confirm your payment method before renewals fail.

Plan changes and renewal cost

Upgrading or downgrading your Soundlink workspace plan can change Ad fees on your account. That affects renewal and campaign budget top-up calculations. Plan changes do not directly add or remove credits from your wallet balance — they change how much future debits will be.

Older Stripe subscription campaigns

Some older campaigns may still renew through a Stripe subscription if they were created before wallet-first checkout. This page describes wallet campaigns — the path used for new paid growth campaigns today.
